I went on a quest a decade ago for the perfect brownie. As a buyer
for a major gourmet food store in Manhattan, it was my responsibility to find
the very best baked goods for our very discriminating clientele. After sampling
over 50 different brownies, I still hadn't found what I was searching for in
a brownie.
So I went home and locked myself in the kitchen with a case of the finest Belgian chocolate. (My Culinary Institute of America degree and several years baking experience in Paris helped!) 48 hours later, I emerged with the most divine brownie. It was exactly what I was searching for: a decadent version of the classic American treat, made with the freshest ingredients and a blend of 3 varieties of superior imported chocolates. A company was born.
